We collect green waste from homes, businesses, and landscapers, and transform it into high-quality compost and mulch. Hawai‘i Organics Compost, LLC (HOC) is rooted in sustainable solutions. With more than 30 years in construction on Maui, owners Dave and Pete Sullivan saw how many inert and organic materials were going straight to the landfill. That spurred them to create Hawai‘i Materials Recycling in Kīhei, which accepts building materials like concrete, asphalt, dirt and sand, offering clean recycled products for pick-up.

HOC is the next step in the journey: a convenient place in Central Maui to recycle green waste and purchase Maui-sourced compost!

We are committed to providing Maui with a state-of-the-art green waste and clean wood pallet materials recycling facility that will divert materials from landfill disposal while producing landscape, agricultural, and construction materials.
